Big news folks! Today we’re announcing the beginning of the Soundcloud Sessions, an exciting new series highlighting the wonderful and talented users of SoundCloud. The Soundcloud Sessions will be intimate acoustic performances filmed live at our Berlin offices all through the summer and beyond. These performances will feature bands and musicians based in Berlin as well as some lucky enough to find themselves traveling through. We’re incredibly excited to have the chance to bring some of our favourites into the office to see them play and showcase YOU, our talented community of users.

To kick things off, we invited London based singer-songwriter Lail Arad to perform the inaugural Soundcloud Session. Despite the odd guitar-based malfunction, she treated us to a few songs from her new album ‘Someone New’, including the stand-out track (and apt kick-off) ‘Everyone is Moving to Berlin.’  For the complete session as well as more information on Lail, please visit the Soundcloud Sessions Tumblr.

All of the sessions will be recorded in both audio and video format, and we’ll add them regularly to the Soundcloud Sessions site for the world to see and hear. Follow us on the usual channels to get the updates as they break. We’ve already have some great artists doing great sessions lined up for you but we’re always looking for more.
