Fringe Festival in Edinburgh is kicking off this week so we’re checking out what this Scottish city has in store for our 40th SoundCloud Local. Check out the ones we found below and don’t forget: you can track sounds from the Fringe Festival here!
Jamie Livingstone
Jamie Livingstone has uploaded many interviews to the ‘Cloud. He has some with Rick Molland (including a selection of heartfelt and well thought-out answers about the nature of comedy), with alternative comedian and musical mistress Eleanor Morton in a park, and also with Glasgow comic Chris Conroy.

Ultimate Poems
Here’s something we don’t see everyday and would love to see more of — poetry! You can hear Edinburgh’s Martin Williams in the player and/or at the link below. He has poems about positivity, love, his father, his clients, loved ones, and much more. Check it out!
a bad man
A Bad Man on SoundCloud is actually a girl named Heidi. She has some cool spoken word tracks, like “Heidi-whispers”, and other more ambient electronic-based tracks like “Chop me own head off for LIVE 003″. Student of Brighton University and sound creator on the ‘Cloud, Heidi is rockin’ it!
Jim Sutherland
With roots in the Scottish traditional genre, Jim Sutherland reaches electronic, orchestral, rock and pop music when he composes. His production techniques are known to be legendary, and he’s constantly nudging at the boundaries of culture and style. Sounds good, right?
SalemAnders
SalemAnders, also known as Burning Bright with rapper and friend Tickle, is a musician and producer based in Edinburgh. He just released an EP as Burning Bright in the beginning of June. The EP featured a couple of more guests: i.e. Asthmatic Astronaut, DJ Symatic and MC OneSP. Hear some clips below!
This year, we also had an Edinburgh-based SoundClouder of the Day! Remember Amy Duncan?
