SoundCloud Voices this week welcomes a behemoth of a comedy network All Things Comedy.  Only just launched to the world a couple of weeks back the network features a wide variety of comedians and shows; 18 comedians and 11 channels to be precise.  Featuring the likes of Bill Burr, Al Madrigal (from John Stewart’s Daily Show), Harland Williams, Ari Shaffir and Christian Pazsitzky, to name just a few, the shows cover all elements of comedy, middle age, humanity and fart jokes.  Here’s a few suggestions of shows to follow.  The entire 11 show network is also listed below.

First up Harland Williams podcast The Harland Highway, you may remember him from Dumb and Dumber. This is the place to be for Harland Williams jokes, commentary, interviews, observations & hilarious reoccurring characters.

Bill Burr also features on the All Things Comedy Network with his show Bill Burr’s Monday Morning Podcast. Here’s Bill explaining the show:

“I host a podcast each week called The Monday Morning Podcast. This past year I was lucky enough to be in two episodes of Breaking Bad. I hope to get a chance to do more work like that in the future.”

The Minivan Men features comedians Chris Spencer, Al Madrigal and Maz Jobrani. They all have kids. They also have wonderful wives, friends and neighbors who sometimes drive them to the brink of insanity. If it matters, none of them own a minivan – which doesn’t mean they don’t necessarily want one. Enjoy.

There are so many other shows to feature that one blog post can not do it justice. Other shows part of the All Things Comedy Network are Ari Shaffir Skeptic’s Tank, The LongShot Podcast, Walking the Room, Jake This, The Flop House, Your Mom’s House, Laugh Spin, and Deep Shit with Baron Vaughn.

This week SoundCloud Voices would like to welcome CNN to SoundCloud! CNN Radio to be precise. Named Soundwaves, it’s an audio blog and a listening experience you can share. But rather than explain the idea and ambition of the show ourselves, why not take a listen to CNN’s very own audio introduction!?

CNN Radio covers a wide variety of topics from the light hearted, to the political, sports, economics and more. It’s a place to hear a combination of the latest news and current affairs and real life stories.  Here’s a selection of pieces that are getting some serious plays out there:

Ever wanted to hear what dying star sounds like? Sure we know you can’t hear anything in space, but still, CNN have simulated the idea anyway!

Or take a listen to an interesting interview with author Barbara Arrowsmith about her journey dealing with learning difficulties during the 50s and 60s:

Here’s an interview as part of CNN profiles, featuring Nick Bollettieri and his tennis training camp out in Florida which is producing some of the top players in the Tennis world today.

You can even just catch up with the latest news with their fantastic digest of whats been happening in the world today.

And they even have CNN in Spanish too. Start following CNN en Español and get your daily does of news.

This week on SoundCloud Voices we take a look at two interactive news programs that might take your fancy up on the cloud.  Al Jazeera’s The Stream and BBC’s World Have Your Say are two interesting news programs in that they both interact with their audiences via social media and even involve them during the broadcasts.

Firstly Al Jazeera’s The Stream, which is a social media community with its own daily TV show on Al Jazeera. Yes, yes we did say TV show, but you can now listen to the audio via SoundCloud.  Topics of late have included euthanasia, pandemics, internet addiction and even the political and social implications of K Pop,which you can listen to below. You can get involved in the show by sending your comments on Facebook or Twitter using #AJStream. Why not try recording something with the SoundCloud app and sending it to them?

Here’s their piece on internet addiction:

BBC’s World Have Your Say is the BBC News programme where you set the agenda. If you follow their Facebook or Twitter you’ll get a better idea of the daily topics that you are encouraged to get involved with – either by phoning in and partcipating live on the air, or by simply tweeting, emailing or commenting on the Facebook wall. To get a better idea of what the show is about, the topics and the style take a listen to Elena Panaritis, Greek MP and Daniel Gros from the Centre for European Policy Studies debate whether Greece should get more time to make the spending cuts needed to meet its Eurozone bailout.

And a Word Have Your Say caller from China discussing the anti Japanese protests that happened recently.

Or this set of “London Sound Drops” recorded during the Olympics, these are a compilation of field recordings round London, capturing the essence of the Capital City during London 2012 Games.
