This Week in Tumblr: Bjork, Moby & more
Here is the rundown of what went on at our Tumblr blog last week!
Monday
- Friendly reminder to check out our developers’ blog at SoundCloud Backstage. They work really hard on really amazing stuff.
Tuesday
- Hunch is creating a ‘taste graph’ of the entire web and they now support SoundCloud recommendations. Try it out!
- SoundCloud Spotted featured Moby who launched a fantastic microsite, Aretha Franklin, Other Lives, Africa Hitech, Balance and Composure, Tellison, The Raveonettes, Tender Age and Tonality Magazine.
- For you who know what this is, it’s probably really cool: with Large Hadron Migrator, you can update huge SQL tables without going offline.
- This time Found Sounds went tick-tock.
- And of course, Deutsch Dienstag!
Wednesday
- Ask a question with your vocal chords and Hammy Havoc will reply the same!
- Remixes, contests and submissions featured The Big Mix 2011 Unsigned Bands Competition, Pony Pony Run Run, Darkwood Dub, Kinky, Spank! Records Originals competition and Sébastien Léger. For more info on all of ’em, check out the post.
- Bjork launched a brand new website powered by SoundCloud (of course!). It’s fully interactive Biophilia universe–the first stage of a massive project. We love Bjork and think the site is great:
Thursday
- This week SoundCloud Voices featured the world of reporting based podcasts: The international news France 24, Public Radio International’s The World and Santa Monica radio station KCRW.
Friday
- Our weekly tip goes over how powerful our Search is. Quite handy and a fun way to discover new sounds!
Sunday
- Webdoc lets you create digital scrapbooks and they just integrated SoundCloud into their application. As an example, check Charles Bradley’s webdoc.
