Found Sounds: Cow Tips

Found Sounds: Cow Tips

Found Sounds is a SoundCloud community feature focusing on some of the most weird and wonderful sounds that can be found on SoundCloud. Count on new installments with some of our favorite sounds each Tuesday!

I’ve got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell. But none of that percussion business, I’m talking about a real cowbell! And what better place to hear a cowbell than around the neck of a cow? On this week’s Found Sounds, we’re turning SoundCloud into SoundCow-ed, and taking a listen to the sounds of cows.

Today’s first cow sound comes courtesy of champignonsdesbois, of Antibes, France. It’s a longer sound, clocking in at almost seven minutes, but it’s fascinating to hear these cows talk to each other. You could listen to this one until the cows come home.

Coming up next from Cavan, Ireland, is a real up-close-and-personal session from Angel Perez Grandi. This one’s great because it really puts the focus on the moos. And if you thought that all “moo”s sounded the same, you obviously haven’t listened to these guys yet!

Today’s final Found Sound comes from a project that really captured the imagination of a lot of the members of the SoundCloud community called “Going Slowly“, and documented the bicycle travels of Tara Allen and Tyler Kellen around the world. This sound comes from an episode in the Bavarian Alps, when hiking down a steep mountain, they came across some friendly cows. Give it a listen!
