This week, help us welcome crazy cat guy (just kidding, scroll down to his fun fact :) ) to our new office in San Francisco! First, listen to his audio message below!
Hey Justin, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions and do this Fun Friday interview! Hello from Berlin! How are you doing over in SF?
Hey hey! I’m doing great thanks for asking.
First, can you take a minute and let us know what you do at SoundCloud?
Sure can. I’m a Partner Integration Project Manager. I work with a lot of amazing companies out there and help them integrate the great tools and features available on the SoundCloud platform into their product. It ranges from fostering relationships with companies we want to partner with, to evangelizing our API and developer tools.
You are working from the San Francisco office that was just opened for business – how is working in the office so far and how do you like the Bay area? What do you love most about working in San Francisco?
The office is coming along nicely. It’s in a really cool part of town and will be perfect once we’re all settled. The Bay Area is an unbelievable place, redwoods, mountains, water and beaches everywhere, and a great culture. My favorite thing about working here is getting to work closely to so many innovative people and companies.
This is a question I always love asking – How did you get introduced to the ‘Cloud?
I first heard of SoundCloud back in ’08 when I worked at a different “cloud” named music company Qloud. I immediately fell in love with the design of the player, and have been following SoundCloud ever since.
And this is an easy one – What are your favorite things about working at SoundCloud so far?
Working at SoundCloud doesn’t feel like work. I get to do what I love and it’s very clear that everyone I work with is doing that same. To top it off I get to work on cool things with other companies as well. It’s a dream really.
At the moment, what are your favorite sounds on the ‘Cloud?
Lastly, do you have any fun facts you can tell us about?
I don’t want to sound like a crazy cat person or anything but I just moved from LA where I lived with Tiger, Cat Stevens, and Chauncey Gardiner. Only one of them wasn’t a cat… Can you guess which one?
Haha, Chauncy Gardiner? Where can we find you on the web?
