SoundCloud Voices is a new weekly Community feature focusing on spoken word creators found on SoundCloud. It might be a podcast, radio show, audio book, interview, audio messages, a poem, anything! Keep an eye out every Thursday for a new post.
Today SoundCloud Voices enters the world of business, web companies to be specific. It’s unsurprising that businesses are starting to use SoundCloud to communicate their product and activities, podcasts have often been used in this manner. So this week we take a look at Geni, Gidsy and Evernote.
First up, the brilliant multi paltform note taking application Evernote . They started using SoundCloud last week for their 30th podcast which the use to keep their community up to date with the latest product development and news. Now for Geni, the genealogy site that help you to create family trees. They have been using SoundCloud for about 6 months now, using it to post product updates, explain certain features and also interview their customers and how they have been using Gidsy for their family trees. And finally our fellow Berliners, Gidsy, the market place for organising activities. Since before the site went public they were using SoundCloud to interview likeminded people in the ‘activity’ world. They’ve interviewed people running open art spaces, restaurants, urban farms and gardens and members of the Hello Etsy conference….
