Found Sounds: Wake up and smell the coffee

Found Sounds is a SoundCloud community feature focusing on some of the most weird and wonderful sounds that can be found on SoundCloud. Count on new installments with some of our favorite sounds each Tuesday!

Put your hands up if you can’t start the morning without it? Whether it’s from a coffee shop, the office machine or freshly brewed at home. Grinding. Brewing. Frothing. These are the sounds that get us through the day, the sounds of coffee.

Personally I’m a Percolator when I can be. In the mornings I like to wake myself up with a hot cup of jo from my Moka pot and get going with the day. Arguably the best way to make coffee (although I’m sure many would disagree with me), the user neuezukunft shared with us the sounds of his Moka pot boiling full of coffee.

For those of us who prefer to leave the coffee making to the professionals, cafés are our hang-outs. Café culture is huge, and it’s hard to go a day without dropping by your local coffee shop to pick up a latte. Hip Hop artist Stahlblau uploaded a recording of the sounds of coffee making at OST café in East Village, NYC.

When it comes to needing a real boost, espresso is the answer. Igor uploads his own field recordings from his surroundings in Berlin. That afternoon Igor was in need of a pick me up, so he headed straight for the good stuff:

If you’re a big coffee drinker and are on SoundCloud, then meet the rest of us over on the Coffee Makers in Full Swing group, and share your coffee related sounds.

That’s all for this week’s Found Sounds! Tune in next week for more crazy sounds from the ‘Cloud.
