SoundCloud Voices

SoundCloud Voices

SoundCloud Voices is a weekly Community feature focusing on new spoken word creators found on SoundCloud. It might be a podcast, radio show, audio book, interview, audio messages, a poem, anything! Keep an eye out every Thursday for a new post.

This week on SoundCloud Voices we take a look at some content creators from France, the country’s public radio, a news website and a football podcast to be precise!

We are very happy to welcome Radio France to SoundCloud.  As France’s public service radio broadcaster they create a great amount of content across their seven national networks.  You can find France Inter, Le Mouv and Fip radio already using SoundCloud to share their audio to the world.  France Inter for example is the so called ‘generalist’ station of the network and provides news and intelligent/thought provoking spoken word programming.  They have been using SoundCloud to post some of their top shows on the station and then share them to their Facebook page.  To get started take a listen to “A votre écoute, coûte que coûte” a show starring “docteur Philippe de Beaulieu et la psychothérapeute Margarete de Beaulieu”.

Next up is news website Rue 89.  As new comers to the SoundCloud platform they have been posting interesting interviews such as the following interview with Sharar Haider, a footballer, who recounts of torture under Saddam after a defeat.  You can read the entire article here or listen to the interview below.

And finally,  for any Ligue 1 French football supporters out there, take a listen to the Olympique et Lyonnais football podcast!  Each week the pod takes a look at the latest happenings at the Lyon football team, who are currently 4th in the league.

If you are interested in trying out SoundCloud as a spoken word podcast platform, you can sign up for via this form. Successful candidates will be emailed with further details.
