SoundCloud Voices

SoundCloud Voices is a weekly Community feature focusing on new spoken word creators found on SoundCloud. It might be a podcast, radio show, audio book, interview, audio messages, a poem, anything! Keep an eye out every Thursday for a new post.

This week on SoundCloud Voices we are showcasing some fantastic radio shows/podcasts from Australia, namely from ABC Australia, Australia’s national public broadcaster. If you ever wanted to be further enlightened about the human body and science or religion, politics and all things ethnic then you have come to the right place!

First up is Dr Karl, a weekly science talkback show on Triple J. Hosted by Karl Kruszelnicki, Dr Karl is a scientist holding degrees in mathematics, biomedical engineering, medicine and surgery. He has also studied astrophysics, computer science, and philosophy and has worked as a physicist, labourer, roadie for bands, car mechanic, film-maker, hospital scientific officer, biomedical engineer, TV weatherman, taxi driver, and medical doctor! So if you want to know more about the effects of swallowing gum, the Coriolis effect, “furry male allergies” or Higgs Boson, Karl is your man. Take a listen to a couple of shows below and follow him on SoundCloud!

Our other ABC Australia focussed show this week is Sunday Night, “a babble about religion, politics and all things ethnic”. Hosted by John Safran and Father Bob, the two take a look at topics ranging from conspiracy theories, atheism,…. often inviting guests such as authors, directors, artists etc to discuss the broad range of topics.
