We brought the SoundCloud Creator Forum to Amsterdam for ADE
Last month, just days after A3C, we brought the SoundCloud Creator Forum to ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) to connect with the community that founded and continues to fuel SoundCloud every day: DJs. While on the ground, we met hundreds of electronic artists, got some tips from the best mixers in the business, and celebrated the music that will very likely be soundtracking our respective tomorrows. Get a glimpse of the three-day takeover via the video below or the Instagram recaps at the bottom of this post.
On day one, we gathered DJs from all over the world to network, learn how to grow their careers on SoundCloud (straight from the source), and test out the Denon PRIME 4 DJ integration that brings our next-level streaming solution to DJing.
The next day, we took a few DJ-centric topics to the main stage with panels on “The Power of Community and Artist Collectives,” “The DIY Artist” and “Streaming and the DJ Booth.” Members from SoundCloud’s artist team moderated the discussions with notable names in electronic music, including our October DJs to Watch Machine Woman and Kiwi who spoke candidly about their experiences as independent artists, building relationships and the importance of being visible.

And on day three, it was time to honor the “D” in ADE with a “What’s Next” showcase. Over the course of the night, hundreds packed the floor to celebrate the future of electronic music and dace to sets by Aaron Clarke, Object Blue, Olof Dreijer (of the Knife) and Violet.

Next up we’ll be taking the SoundCloud Creator Forum to Miami for Art Basel (December 3-5). Interested in joining us? Keep checking our socials for more details on programming and how you can RSVP.
